Lately I have spent
A great deal of time
Thinking about things
We have said
Some stand out
Much more than others
Things we have shared
Knowing they will be safe
I told you one day
How important the way you see me is
And I wanted to take the time
To let you know
The way I see you
You are sexy and handsome
Though I know I haven't told you
I'm sure that you know
For others have told you before
But what I want to tell you
Are the things the eye can't see
The ones that make you stand out
That make me feel the way I do
There is a strength about you
That comes from within
A confidence in yourself
With which you take on the world
From the time we met
I felt I could trust you
Your honesty and directness
Taking away the fear of hidden agendas
You throw yourself completely into whatever you do
Taking on each task
With a determination
That it will be done right
More intelligent than most I know
But don't try to make me feel inferior
You are competitive and confident
But not to an extreme
Yet there is a vulnerability
You let me see from time to time
One that shows how deeply you feel
How things affect you
That you trust me enough to let it show
And I know how hard that is
it is a combination of things
That makes you the amazing man you are
A man with integrity and honor
Who stands by his word
One I trust and can depend on
Feel more for than you realize
That I need in my life
Don't know what I would do without
