TORN

One avenue I traveled

Knowing nothing better to do

One lady I loved

Until I met you

It wasn’t right

You weren’t supposed to catch my interest

I was a role model

Filled with intentions pure and honest

But now I don’t know what to do

I don’t know what to say

Life has never been the same

Since I met you that day

I’m torn

Torn between two

I’m confused

Between her and you

One is my love

The other wants to be too

I’m torn

Between her and you

Yesterday was simple

Me and her together

Today you changed that

For worse or for better

I should turn back

Return to the comfort of my routine

But part of me

Wants to break free

I want to hold you

I want to send you away

I want to love you

I want to look the other way

Because I’m torn
