We cannot pick and choose parts of the Bible for our doctrine. We must compare all Scriptures with Scriptures to receive harmony and truth. If our doctrine does not harmonize with all of the Bible we do not have understanding. God is not the author of confusion in the church of the saints. There is a difference between the eternal church and the congregation church. In Matthew 13:24-30 the wheat and tares are in the congregational church. Both hear the Word of God and are care takers of the Word of God. The Bible is God’s plan for the universe and man. In the eternal church there is only one citizen: the true believer. It is where the gates of hell will not prevail. This Church is the foundation, the faith of God in the true believers who are the living stones built upon a spiritual house. 1 Peter 2:5 (King James Version Bible) says, “5Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.”
A sign of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is in 1 Peter 1:2 (New King James Version Bible) which says, “2 elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.” Trust in God without leaning on your understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). 1 Corinthians 13:9 (NKJV) says, “9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.”The Bible gives the revelation that without the grace of God man would eventually self-destruct because of disobedience. An example of disobedience is the sin of pride. God gives an insight of the pride of man. Eve did not trust God for her existence. She wanted to be God. Even the creation of the beautiful, powerful angel Satan did not trust God for his existence. Without the grace of God Satan became a beast! Remember Satan wants to be God. The created being wants to tell the Creator what to do and how to do it. You can begin to see the absurdity of this logic.
The best way to develop the doctrine of truth from God’s Word, the Bible, is to go to God in reverence, humility and in prayer seeking God for His mercy to receive His grace. God tells us Himself that this is only possible if God Himself draws you to Him. John 6:44 (NKJV) says, “44 No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him;
