In God we trust mirrors faith long before being printed on a dollar bill. There is no price to faith in God, it's just as free as each breath taken. And to trust in God is to have faith in God's word and plan.
No questions are hidden behind inner faith and trusting in God unless the will believes differently. However, there is much to offer when trusting in God for when all seems lost so can the very wisdom to strive in strength rather than weakness in giving up or believing the worse is yet to come. It is wiser to trust in God than to not trust in faith at all.
Proverbs defines what is wise from foolish behavior or actions. As a Christian one usually can use Proverbs as a heavenly tool. When reading, how can one disagree with the logic? Only a fool that does not agree with Proverbs also known to some as Pro-verbs due to defining them as action words.
"Let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance." - Proverbs 1:5
"Wisdom is a principal thing; therefore get wisdom; and with all thy getting get understanding." - Proverbs 4:7
From wisdom comes understanding. A sentence of importance that will offer insight within the concept in God we trust. Within understanding comes a the process of understanding. A child cannot begin school one day and walk out the next as a scholar student unless they continue the educational process that comes with the growth of understanding knowledge. The same applies to trusting in God.
It takes time to make a lifestyle change from a mind that has been wired to believe in whatever the eyes can visually see. Unfortunately that way of life lacks the faith it takes to believe in God's miracles or God's plan. Life can be harsher, darker, more confusing for a person in need of faith. The testing times of injury or sorrow can motivate explorations as to what is worth and what is not. With God at least one knows that even the trying times of life is God's test for that unique situation in how the person handles and copes with the tools they have gathered from God's word. Therefore, wouldn't it be wiser to trust in God?
"In you our fathers trusted; they trusted, and you delivered them. To you they cried and were rescued; in you they trusted and were not put to shame." - Psalm 22:4-5
In the moment of passing those who trust in God await the moment in peace knowing that they will meet their maker
