How does one cleanse the liver while on antibiotics? If you must be on antibiotics, or some other medications that may affect your liver, you are rightfully concerned about their effect on your long-term health. While conquering or controlling some aliment antibiotics as well as other medications can be detrimental to your overall health. Even long term pain control medications can pose serious health problems, and can severely damage the liver.
Remember that your liver, and kidneys are your body’s filtration systems. Just as your car’s air filter, and oil filter help protect your car’s engine, the body’s filtration systems help protect the rest of your body from possible damage, and your brain’s ability to function well. However, replacing our bodies’ filters is a whole other issue.
To help cleanse your liver, be sure you are getting plenty of fresh, pure water, and not water that is full of chemicals. Water helps your body dilute and flush out toxins and other things it recognizes as invaders or enemies.
Eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, and consider taking supplements that contain antioxidants, which will add additional vitamin A, C and E. These aid in removing the damaging effects of many medications and help to boost your immune system as well. Fresh vegetables and fruits are rich in vitamins A, C and E as well as many other vitamins and minerals utilized by our bodies for replenishing our vigor, and fighting off disease. These also help our bodies reproduce healthy cell tissue, keeping our bodies functioning more efficiently, helping us feel better as well as looking better.
Eat a variety of beans, such as Pinto beans, Pink beans, Kidney beans, and Lima Beans and Garbanzos. These are also a good source of antioxidants, as well as protein and many other vitamins and minerals. They are also high in fiber that also helps keep the digestive tract cleaner, and help in elimination, as well.
There are additional benefits in eating a diet rich in beans, and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. These foods are not only to our overall health, but are also low in calories, as well as cholesterol and sodium. This is a good diet for controlling weight, and heart health, too. Just remember to add lots of fresh, pure drinking water daily, as many unfortunately overlook this necessary part of our diet.
