Dead Space

This game will have you gasping for more.

Game Critics Award 08 Winner, the best of E3, and Xbox360 best action game. If there was ever a game you couldn't just describe with words, that would be this game. From floating silently through the depths of space to escape an onslaught of enemy, to fighting alien infestation and necromorphs in the darkest reaches of an abandoned ship. Dead space is a MUST PLAY.

 What's the game about?

The game can pretty much be summed up in the title, you are dead no matter what. And you are locked in the confines of space. "A massive deep-space mining ship goes dark after unearthing a strange artifact on a distant planet. Engineer Isaak Clarke embarks on the repair mission, only to uncover a nightmarish bloodbath-the ship's crew horribly slaughtered and infected by an alien scourge. Now Isaac is cut off, trapped, and engaged in a desperate fight for survival." -back of case. Now be aware that this game is a 3rd person story-line single player. This might not be everyone's type of game, however, this game offers a memorable storyline, and one that you will not forget for a long time.

Graphics

The graphics in this game are unbelievable. Hands down some of the best graphics I have seen out of any 2008-2009 game. Not only are they just good, but the consistency and effort put into making the graphics look good is just unparalleled. The effects are extremely realistic, be it flying in zero-gravity, or dismembering bloody limb from bloody limb. Ambient lighting, and shadows play a key roll in scaring the crap out of you, often making you think there are creatures around you that aren't really there. Planetary objects and other celestial objects are okay, but could be improved.

Gameplay

If you like 3rd person than you already have an advantage in this new world you are about to step into. In Dead Space, they take 3rd person to a whole new level. The camera sways and bobs with your character when you run, and your menu and item selection screen are all displayed in real time. That means that even in the menu system there is no pausing, and you'll have a huge projection blocking your view from oncoming attackers. (watch out guys, i have almost crapped my pants a few times) After you get used to the unique view, you will really love to use all the tools of death and destruction you can get your grubby little hands on.
