Go gray

I remember when I was very young and I would see women with gray hair I vowed I  never wanted to look like that; but now that I am older and in the gray hair sector I find that thought no longer applies.  I am gray; I have a beautiful white head of hair.  It looks like a platinum blond in the sun with a darker layer in the nap area. Women, now days, are paying high price for this look.  I just shampoo regularly and keep it styled appropriately.

Looking back, what I really noticed was that women who had gray hair did not style their hair.  Some wore it pulled back, hanging straight, or cut in a style that was not enhancing their facial features.  Maybe they cut their own hair or they thought they were too old to care about their hairstyle.

Women who gray should not quit styling their hair or keeping a neat appearance.  Attractiveness does not always come in a dye bottle.  The glow that radiates from a woman who likes who she is and does not mind letting her confidence shine for others to see is attractive.  Each stage of your life is special from a joyful youth, a blissful teen, a young woman, to a mature woman.

Keeping gray hair styled is important.  Letting your hair go just because it has turned gray should not be an option that you choose.  A good cut, and bright colored clothing or accessories will make you stand out and let others take notice.  The beauty of white hair leaves a good impression when it is properly shaped and style.

The hair has three layers, the cuticle is the outer layer and protects the inner structure, the cortex is the inner layer, and the medulla, which is the innermost of the hair shaft and may be missing in fine or very fine hair.  The cortex is the part of the hair that has the color pigment.  Graying hair looses the pigment over time and becomes white.

If you are one that has concerns about using chemicals on your hair or may be tired of dying your hair; going natural could be a blessing for you, it sure was for me.  You may even notice the commercials on TV where older women are showing their hair in its natural glory, white.  They look fashionable, and beautiful.  It is all about taking care of you with routine trips to the salon for trims and fashionable styles.  This helps keep the hair more manageable and keeps you feeling fantastic.
