Poetry: Parents

Look my child
Someone slid a piece of paper
Behind the trees
So tonight the sky is white

Lets go color
On the clouds my dear
I'm getting a little tired
Of all this sleeping
Though I just can't seem
To get out of bed in the morning

Don't you love
The feeling of flapping
Your skin against the wind
And maybe
You'll get claustrophobic
After wearing those clothes

I can remember the smell
Of my babydoll
I used to carry her around
And sniff her hair
And after awhile
My daddy named me snu

My silly German daddy
He became more serious
And less silly as I grew
But his face still has wrinkles
From where smiles left their marks

I want to have wrinkles
And gray hairs
I want to be old
I want to be a guru
I want to know

Skip these years of hell
And move on to the
Looking-back stage
But memories are golden
And I think one day
I will miss this
