Hotel reviews: Longshoot Hotel Nuneaton, Warwickshire, UK

==Location==

The Longshoot Hotel is situated in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, roughly 100 yards from the border with neighbouring town Hinckley and the county of Leicestershire.  The hotel is on the busy junction of the Long Shoot (the street from which its name is derived) and the A5 Watling Street making it the ideal location for business people to stop overnight before heading off towards Milton Keynes and London in the South or Tamworth, Telford or mid Wales in the opposite direction.  It is also a favourite place to stay for people who wish to visit historic Nuneaton, birthplace of the author George Eliot with Nuneaton town centre a couple of miles away.  The M69 motorway is 2 miles away, the M6, 5 miles and the M42, 10 miles making the hotel a great venue for anyone stopping over in the Midlands for any reason.

The hotel is set in a residential area, mainly frequented by middle aged couples with older children although I have never seen any children/teenagers congregating near the hotel which can only be good for that good night sleep that yo have paid for.  There is an Aldi supermarket 50 yards away with a BP service station adjacent to it meaning that all your needs for the journey ahead should be catered for.  If you want a wider choice of supermarket items for any subsequent journey then there is a Sommerfield supermarket 1 mile away with Nuneaton town centre boasting both Asda and Sainsburys superstores whilst Hinckley has a Morrisons superstore, also roughly 2 miles from the hotel.

The hotel is situated behind the restaurant backing onto the gardens on the Long Shoot (the road) side of the site.  The hotel has 47 bedrooms on two storeys. These rooms are a mixture of double, twin and family rooms.  Family rooms consist of one double and one single bed although the rooms are big enough to cope with larger families and extra single beds can be requested.  Although the bedrooms are nothing special to look at from the outside (a lick of paint wouldn’t go a miss) they are very cosy and welcoming inside.  As well as the bed, all rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, central heating, you own personal bathroom and shower, a telephone which incurs an extra charge, a work desk and lamp and a television.

The reception area for the hotel is situated by the car park to the right of the restaurant, this is not the biggest of rooms, probably big enough to fit 3 or 4 adults in, so if you are stopping
