The second step is to brainstorm for ideas on what to write about.  Your idea or subject matter is called a ‘niche’ and it is in this niche that all of your content will be based on.  Here, you need to ask yourself if the niche you’ve chosen is something that you are very much interested in and are knowledgeable about.  This is because if you are an expert of a particular niche, you’ll be able to come up with all kinds of high quality blog posts that your readers will find interesting and informative at the same time.  If you have a list of niches on hand, strike through those that you aren’t that familiar.  You can then pick the niche that you are most knowledgeable about and use it as your official topic for your blog.
