Things every fan should do before they watch Twilight Eclipse

by Izzy Swan

Unless you've been living under a rock or in a cave these past few years, you've watched one of the Twilight Saga movies or at the very least have heard of them repeatedly from one of your obsessed friends, so you probably already know Twilight Eclipse is being released this summer.  And for those of you who really have been living in a cave without access to television or internet, the Twilight Saga is a 4 part movie about a young girl named Isabella Swan (played by Kristen Stewart) and the adventures she encounters when she moves to a new town to live with her father, which include falling in love with a vampire named Edward Cullen (played by Robert Pattinson) and a werewolf named Jacob Black (played by Taylor Lautner).

Twilight was originally written by author Stephanie Meyer but is now a full featured 4 part movie saga. If you went to watch Twilight when it first came out in theatres you know how much of a frenzy it caused amongst it's newly created fans, most of whom are women, though there are plenty of guys who secretly liked it too but are just too embarrassed to admit it. The release of the second film Twilight New Moon was met with even greater anticipation as fans lined up at theatres across the nation hours before the movie was set to be released just for the chance of getting tickets to the first showing. If you actually got a ticket to watch Twilight New Moon on opening day without waiting for hours consider yourself one of the lucky few. You can expect a similar frenzy for Twilight Eclipse in a few months.

As summer nears and fans get ready for the chaos all over again to wait in line to watch Twilight Eclipse, there are a few things you can do to pass the time before the June 30th release date approaches to help deal with the anxiety and excitement:

• Watch Twilight and Twilight New Moon with your friends on dvd. Maybe it's been a while since you've seen the first two or maybe you have some friends who watched the first one but haven't had a chance to see the the sequel yet. Whatever the reason, grab a few bags of popcorn and a few dvds and watch Twilight again to refresh your memories and remind you why you became a fan in the first place.

• Watch the Twilight Eclipse official trailers. Nothing helps to pass the time and build excitement like watching movie trailers online for upcoming movies. There are plenty of places online for fans to watch twilight eclipse trailers in high definition to feel the full effect and adrenaline rush of the movie. Chances are if you're a serious fan you've already seen the official Twilight Eclipse trailer the day it was released, but it never hurts to watch it a few more times and laugh like a giggly schoolgirl.

• Keep up with the latest Twilight Eclipse production news. Almost every other week new stills and candid photos from the set of the Twilight Eclipse movie are released or leaked on to the internet for eager fans to snap up. Some are a sneak peak of the action in the upcoming movie while others are just silly photos of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, or Taylor Lautner eating a burrito on the set or talking on the phone or some other completely random act.

• Read up on the latest gossip about the stars of the movie. Is Robert Pattinson really dating Kristen Stewart or are they just rumors to hype the movie? Is Taylor Lautner dead (yes this actually was a rumor).  It's even been rumored that Robert Pattinson was being cast to play Kurt Cobain in the upcoming biographical film about the late grunge musician's life. Whether or not there is any truth to these rumors remains to be seen but it's always fun to read the latest spin and nonsense Hollywood rumor mongers and tabloid magazines can dish out.

• Read the Twilight Saga Books. They say movies based on books can never convey every detail and emotion in the book and this holds true for Twilight. While the movies are exceptionally well made, one cannot expect hundreds of pages of dialogue, action, and inner monologue to be transformed into an hour and a half movie. So instead of biting your nails and trying to search the internet for leaked copies so that you can watch Twilight Eclipse online, head to your local bookstore and pick up a copy of one of the books and get started reading. By the time you finish you'll know every detail of the story and be ready to watch Twilight Eclipse in theatres with all your friends!
