Social networking has become increasingly important nowadays. Twittering is as much a part of most everyone’s life as it seems, having breakfast and reading email. On the otherhand, the need to keep in touch with family and friends continues to make Facebook popular. Chances are you subscribe to both. Your tweets need no longer be confined to your Twitter followers. Linking your Twitter posts to Facebook doesn’t get any easier as both services allow the connection. Users have the option to install Facebook in their Twitter accounts and vice-versa. Instantly keep your Facebook friends updated on your latest tweets. Follow these steps:

Log in to your Facebook account. Below the browser on your homepage look at the horizontal blue bar. The ‘Search’ button is on the left.  Directly on the other side are ‘Home’, ‘Profile’, ‘Find Friends’ and “Account’. Click ‘Account’. On the drop down menu just below your name and profile picture are six options. Click ‘Application Setting’. You’ll be directed to the ‘Application Settings’ Page. A listing of the apps you’ve been using will come up. This is where you update ‘Permissions’ and who and what group sees your activities. Ignore those for now and look up and use the ‘Search’ button on the left side of the blue bar. To find ‘Twitter’ type it on ‘Search’. As you type in Twitter, several options come up. Pick ‘Twitter Application’. You’ll be redirected to twitter’s Application Page. Below the profile picture, click ‘Go to Application’. Two rectangular boxes vie for your attention. The first box asks that you allow twitter to email you. Choose from ‘Yes’, ‘No’, or simply ‘Close the box’. Your left with the Twitter box.  Allow Twitter access to your Facebook account by filling in your username and password. Hit ‘log in’. Facebook will confirm your request and you’re all set.

From here on, all your tweets will be updated on your Facebook account. The other option is to install Facebook to your Twitter page:

To add Facebook from Twitter, visit Twitter’s widgets page at http://twitter.com/widgets and pick the Facebook tab. Click the Facebook tab. A redirect later, hit the “Install Twitter in Facebook” button. From here it’s basically a repeat of step #5 except this time you’ll be allowing Twitter access to your Facebook log in information. Confirm your request and you’re done.
