Songs: Separation

Separation of Souls.

He left for work this morning;
without kissing me good-bye -
and though, I know,
he loves me;
he tears me up inside.

I've tried to get away;
I ran as far as I could,
and he just keeps
taking me back in;
making me believe,
again - ah, ah, uh;
oh, all I've got is him.

He won't stop
begging me to stay...
He says, that he's afraid ~

that I won't make it on
my own ~
I wonder if he knows;
that I was alive before
we met;
I just wanna feel alive -
again - wanna forget;
uh, yes, - how I let
him take me in;
uh, yeah, how he took me in.

I got a golden invitation -
and I need to be adored...
I don't wanna be here,
anymore ~
I'm leaving one last time;
Oh, oh, I need the
sun to shine;
sometimes, on me.

Emotions become intertwined;
Don't know what is yours -
and I can't find what is mine....
but - Baby, I've made up
my own mind, this time;
I'm leaving this behind -
Uh, yes, one last time -
Its for the best, one last time.

Separation of souls;
Power and control -
Coming back to me.
He can't keep bringing
me down -
No, not now that I've found -
myself.

Miserable and cold;
not too nice to hold -
He hates being with
himself;
He takes all my highs...
He's taking my life,
He won't apologize;
He just justifies;
the homicide.

I got a golden invitation -
all I really need -
is to be adored...
I don't wanna be here,
anymore ~
I'm leaving one last time;
Oh, oh, I need the
sun to shine,
sometimes, I need the
sun to shine ~ on me.

Emotions become intertwined;
Don't know what is yours -
I can't find what is mine....
but - Baby, I've made up
my own mind, this time;
I'm leaving this behind -
Uh, yes, one last time -

Separation of souls;
Power and control...
Coming back to me.
He can't keep bringing
me down -
No, he can't bring me down,
now that I've found -
Now, that I've found;
myself.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He left again, this morning
without kissing me good-bye;
and I don't know why -
but I cried - Oh, oh, oh;
I cried and I cried;
uh, watching the
sun rise.
