To begin the ‘Sea Slug’ quest, speak to Caroline. You can find her somewhere east of Ardougne. Talk to her and she will tell you that her husband and son, Kent and Kennith both went to the Fishing Platform, but never came back. Agree to help her find and bring them back to start the quest. Caroline will then tell you to talk to Holgart, who will help you get to the fishing platform.

Now, you need to look for Holgart, he can be found wandering nearby. Speak to him and he will tell you that he needs some Swamp Paste to fix his boat, before he can take you to the Fishing Platform. You can buy Swamp Paste from the Charter Ship General Store or the Port Khazard General Store. Alternatively, you can choose to make it yourself. To do so, firstly grab some swamp tar from the Lumbridge Swamp. Then, mix some flour with the swamp tar to create some Raw Swamp Paste. Cook it in a fire and you will get some Swamp Paste. Give the paste to Holgart and he will be able to take you to the Platform.

When you arrive, talk to Bailey, who can be found to the west of where you arrived. He will tell you that Kennith is somewhere on the Platform and he will also tell you about the mysterious Sea Slugs, which have caused his friends to fish out more Sea Slugs and that they jump and squirm away from stoves.

You need to talk the Kennith now, and he can be found by going to the north-east corner and climbing the ladder. Then, go to the room in the west and you will see Kennith hiding behind some crates. Talk to Kennith and he will say that his dad had left a few days ago to get some help. After that, go back down and talk to Holgart and he will take you to a small island where Kent is on.

Talk to Kent and he will explain about the mind-controlling powers of the Sea Slugs and that they have taken over the fishermen on the Platform. He tells you to go and rescue Kennith before he goes back to the Platform. Talk to Holgart again and he will take you back to the Platform.

When you arrive, try to go back up the ladder to Kennith. You will be unable to do so, because the fishermen will push you down. Go back to Bailey and talk to him and he will tell you that the Sea Slugs are weakened by fire, he will also give you a torch. A tinder box will not work to light up the torch, so you will need to take the piece of broken glass from the corner of the room which Bailey is in. Then head to the north-east corner and take some damp sticks. Use the broken glass on the sticks and they will dry up, and the stick will now be able to light the torch, by rubbing them together.

Now that you have your lit torch, go back and speak to Kennith, but he won’t come with you. Exit the room and go around to the side where you will find some badly repaired walls. Kick them. You will have created a hole which is big enough so that Kennith can fit through it. Tell Kennith that it is safe to come out now. You will find a crane nearby. Rotate it and there will be a cutscene of you lowering Kennith with the crane.

Once the cutscene has ended, go back to Holgart and he will take you back to the mainland. Speak to Caroline again to complete the quest.
