Poetry: The color of God

by Sherri Coulter

The Color of God

The color of God I tried to see,

as His small child admonished me.

I, the teacher, being taught...

another answer I never sought.

His words as crisp as nipping air,

he spoke with truth, a lovely flair.

I was stopped by love, never to recind,

"Teacher, the color of God is wind."
