The quest for truth and the meaning of life lie no further than deep within the realms of each of us. It lies dormant and remains unconscious until we are not only able, but also willing, to face that which is unknown. When the time finally comes that we are able to look into the mirror and not only see the person staring back at us, but recognize that person also, then and only then, can we attempt to understand that which has always been there. I believe that we are created with this mechanism to not only protect ourselves, but also the masses. God did not want a bunch of know it alls that really knew nothing, running around the planet half cocked, with all of these extraordinary powers, and no knowledge on how to use them. The powers of reason, of being, and of responsibility are learned, not gifted. They are inherited through life's challenges and tribulations. You must first feel, before you can ever truly heal another. You must first be knocked to the ground, before you can truly rise and help another to their feet. Life experiences, broken hearts and broken dreams...the will to survive, the will to not. It is all about decisions. The ones you make, the ones you ignore, the ones you wish you could take back...they are all a major part of the sequence. Our journey here is a journey of purpose...a long one for most, yet some only get a breath of it before it is all taken away, raising even more unanswered questions. We may not understand it, but it is here for a reason , bigger than all of us, yet so very simplistic in ideal. If you just let yourself live, to truly live the way we were all meant to...by the heart, by the soul and by the spirit, to believe in all that is good, and shun all that is bad, to be a friend and a mentor, a listener or just a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold onto and leg to stand on. To just be everything and all that you truly can be...the answers of the universe will unfold unto you. You needn't look any farther for the truth, than to look within. Each of us are in control of our own destinies, our own lives, the actual truths. We only need but to believe in ourselves enough to make them happen. It seems so easy to believe in a higher being, in things that we can't see, touch or feel. Why is it so difficult to believe in one's self? Of flesh and blood, mind and matter. Who knows, maybe we are just not evolved enough yet to wrap our minds around the entire concept of total acceptance? Maybe we never will be, but as long as we have the time to judge, we will also have the time to learn and forgive. To nurture, grow and prosper. To seek out our own quests for truth and to find our true purpose and meaning for life.
