The question is a little simplistic.  Whose control would you like to have over your life and affairs? 

For those looking and seeking, there is a spiritual revolution going on.  This is undermining the old church and its many controls.  Are these the controls you wish to see remain?  They held their populace by fear.  When the populace no longer found truth in the fears, they chose to move on. 

If we look closely the organized religions centres are emptying for want of people to be controlled.  The church hierarchy is no longer the occupation of choice.  They will die off from attrition because they did not change and grow in a modern world of spirituality.

Can you just imagine going into a church community where 'personal responsibility' is taught and emphasized.  There is no one to take the blame.  You have to look at yourself, find your faults and do the work to change for yourself.  It can be a truly frightening experience and we have watched time and again where is deterred the spiritual from their path.

The world could and would never get out of God's control.  There is natural law that works even as we try to see ourselves in charge of everything in life.  For every cause we put into play (through thought, word, deed) there is a consequential effect.  This is what keeps our world in balance.

Yes, we have only to watch the news to see wars, insurrections and abuses to know there is a long way to go on a spiritual path for the most of the people.  But if we see the oneness in all, we realize what is happening is happening to us also because we are all one.  That tells us to do all we can to stop the wars and bring the boys and girls home to their loved ones to make their life at home.

Even when the material world seeks the pleasures of this world, the spirit seeks the pleasures of deeper awareness of self.  The deeper self is the spirituality we are defining and refining in our earth experiences. 

No we are not out of control.  We are in control of our own destiny by our own personal responsibility to self and each other.  A world of oneness of humanity shows us the way to awakening and ultimate consciousness and spirituality.
