Thoughts come to mind
And a paper and pen I must find
Not letting them slip by
Or chance gone in a blink of an eye
Meaningful words from the heart
Things to be said from the start
Write it all down clear as day
So it can be heard what I wish to say
Poetry to me is rhythm and rhyme
Coming from within at the right time
Grasping my emotion
Like a Love potion
Every thought I wish to be heard
Down on paper listening to my every word
My heart beats as I write it all down
Perhaps with a smile maybe a frown
Everything I want you to know
Threw my words I'll show
Poetry a given gift
Reflects somewhat like a face lift
Giving a smile for all to see
Music in words is what it will be
Read my Poems and feel my Love
It comes from inside all of the above

Writing poems is a flash
of beauty lending itself
to print.
Writing poems is the budding
of an elegant flower
