(Thought: How do i begin this right...)
breath I whisper softly as I set the pen to page,
the blankness only shadowing the regrets that i have made.
it spans out there before me like a sea of rolling hills,
each one gets me closer, but the distance never fills.
I try to stop and set my thought but the whirlwind never ends,
instead I ride upon the waves as the current takes me in.
But a ray of light falls with in my sight and the water begins to ebb,
with a sigh of relief and the task now complete it all fades into the sand.
I began with just one blank page,
and my dreams to make it come true.
But the worst part is done and I've found my own drum,
because I followed the beat of my tune.
