Poverty is an unnecessary part of life, which can carry over from generation to generation in some families. Let no one continue in poverty, for when you know better you do better. Once you know that poverty can be beaten, you’ll never allow yourself to get in that situation again.
In order to change from poverty to wealth, it’s up to you to do what it takes to change your circumstances. It’s no good waiting for someone else to come out and rescue you. At the end of the day, you’re the only one responsible for your finances and you need to take control of them. Once you’ve done this, once you’ve learnt how to beat poverty, you need to teach others how to do it.
In order to change your life, you need a belief in yourself that you can change your circumstances. It’s a good idea to have a mentor to show you how you how to do this and keep you focused, so you can do this and succeed at it.
A mentor, someone who’s positive who can back you up when things are tough, will keep you on track. A mentor will see when you wander off the track and will gently guide you back in the right direction. A mentor, who doesn’t judge, but gently guides, is a huge asset to turning you life around, no matter how low you’ve become.
The first thing you need to do is plan your ideal day. The second thing to do is work towards making that plan a reality. Your plan may be a long-term goal, including study, or a short-term goal, in getting a job straight away. Whatever the goal may be, do what it takes to bring that goal into fruition.
There are many books in the self-help section of your local library, on setting goals. These books will help you to work out what you want to do in life and what you want from life. Plus, don’t rule out that dusty bible, sitting in the back of your cupboard. The bible is a guiding force, covering all of life’s moments and decisions. If you need wisdom, the bible is a great place to start.
If you don’t know what your ideal life should be, try a few different things, until you find the one thing you are truly passionate about. Passion gives you the drive to continue through the difficult times. Without passion, it’s easier to quit when the going gets tough. Don’t expect every day to be easy, for anything worthwhile is seldom easy.
If you haven’t the money to start, work out what you need to do to make more money, or save some of what you’re already getting. To break the poverty cycle you need to earn more than you spend. There are many and varied ways of achieving this. You can sell some of what you already own, turn a hobby into a money making venture, take on a few extra hours at work, or work at another job. Mow lawns, or clean windows, for people. Cafe's are often looking for extra staff, as are supermarkets and fast food outlets. The possibilities are endless, and you can probably think up a few ideas yourself, once you put your mind to it.
Poverty around the globe needs to be stamped out and you can be a driving force behind this, if you put your mind to it. Once you learn how, pay it forward. Teach others around you how they, too, can beat the poverty cycle. Once you’ve become wealthy, pay it forward. Donate some of that wealth to charity and help end poverty in the life of a stranger. There’s not a better, nor a more rewarding feeling than that of helping others.
