Gamevance.com is a game website I stumbled onto because I was looking for ways to get free points on Cruchyroll.com and it was one of the “free” offers they showed.  I thought it would be fun because you would be able to play games and I’d get some free points for Crunchyroll.com too.

But when I downloaded the program, my antispyware program, Spybot Search and Destroy popped up with a message saying that it had disabled the program because it had a computer virus in it.  I had already installed the program and I decided I wanted to get it off my computer.  But, wouldn’t you know it, it wouldn’t come off my computer, it wouldn’t even show up in my list of installed programs in the Control Panel.

I had to Google how to unregister from GameVance.com and how to get the program off my computer because I was hit by a barrage of never ending pop-ups.   And this happened in my browser every 15 seconds; a new ad would pop up.  I didn’t even get to play any of the games the website supposedly promised that I would be able to play once I installed their program.

After a big fiasco of unregistering, I finally got rid of t he program and the pop-ups and my computer went back to normal.

I’ve read reviews that said people could play games on GameVance.com once they got the program installed, but it didn’t work for me.  All I got was a big headache and pop-ups that wouldn’t go away.  I would not ever recommend anyone use this website because it’s not a good one, it doesn’t even work. 

I say that if you’re looking for a website to play games, don’t go to this one, and just stick to flash games where you don’t have to install a program just to get access to them.  This website was one of the most horribly deceptive websites that I’ve ever been to, and I can’t recommend this site to anyone, it just becomes a big nuisance.

 If you ever read reviews that excessively praise this website as a fun place to play games, don’t believe them, it’s just another way for you to get viruses on your computer and it’s a big pain to get rid of this program once you install it on your computer.  If you want to save yourself a lot of trouble, stay away from GameVance.com.
