Not Enough...
I am Sorry.
Those three words are not enough;
to convey the Horror and Heartache I felt
as you were dragged from my home
by your “Loving Father and Grandmother”.
I am Sorry.
Those three words are not enough;
To stop the flow of tears as I watched you
reach out your two little arms and begged for me to help you
While I stood by helpless...Hopeless.
I Am Sorry.
Those three words are not enough;
To make you understand why the Police Officer
was making you leave with people you so
openly were terrified of.
I Am Sorry.
Those three words are not enough;
to explain why the Protection Order was
a useless piece of paper because no one
believes that a 5 year old has right too.
I Am Sorry.
Those three words are not enough;
To let you know how much I want to stop this madness
and protect you from the system that has failed you.
I Am Sorry.
Those three words are not enough!
But they are the first thing I will say to you when you come home.
I can only hope I LOVE YOU are three words
that someday WILL be enough.
Lil'Ammaw loves you.

Poetry: Betrayed
Jealous, I storm into the room with exclamation points,
and drag you down with question marks.
Coldly, you answer and slay
by Kris Vaassen
I had given you my heart
and you took it away
with you into
a world unknown
You said you would
always be there
You were
"Betrayal"
Drowning again: this time in blood,
In over your head: Don't give up.
Breathe in deep,
Hold your breath.
A kind of poison thrust into my veins
My broken heart thereof in pain
If I had a bad memory I couldn't forget
For even in
When I looked into your eyes, I saw into your heart.
I saw love in it's purest form.
One that was nonjudgmental, and receptive.
