There was something about this night that didn't seem quite right;
Hungry wolves, like shadows, misted over my eyes.
Evil hands gripped me; twisting broken, over-grown nails,
splintering their unclean darkness into my virgin skin.
Help me, I cried! I prayed to God and anyone else who would listen -
A glimpse of hope flew from my conscious mind,
delivering me from evil, or so it seemed at that moment in time;
omitting some false sense of security when there was none.
Wait, did I just scream out loud again? Or was this some sort of trick?
Over-tired, I began to fall back into the darkness that awaited me,
feeling just enough of the void to lull me to sleep, the humming of my mother;
the only deception that the entities of darkness could use to capture me unawares.
I had entered into a state of euphoria, this and that being what I wanted now.
Maybe it was for the better? What could I lose ins such warm liquids;
the warm flow of the river with a boat made of insanity.
Over and over, I spun - once, twice, three times in perfect harmony;
only once did I see my girlfriend's angelic face, so beautiful as if on fire.
Not once did I notice Death with wide arms open; calling me, enticing me,
telling me to follow her to the Shadow of the Moon.
