What kind of ridiculous question is this? Honestly? Can a Christian be Gay? Is the Pope Catholic? Is water wet?

Enough of the unnecessary flippancy. Of course you can be Christian and gay. Don't get me wrong - I am against immoral lifestyles. Christianity is a terrible decision! I kid you. I am not against Christianity. Just what it stands for - Oppression, Repression, Hatred, Anger, Jealousy, Violence and Deceipt. But, of course, this comes from a 'filthy, stinking heathen'... what with my loving Gods and liberal attitudes. Back to the topic, I think..

Homosexuality is natural. It has always occurred within nature, not just between humans, but between essentially every other mammal to have existed, certain varieties of plants, and also insects and birds. There is evidence of this to those who wish to see, not for any other reason that pursuit of the 'Truth', whatever meta-narrative that may be. In my faith, anything that occurs in nature - Naturally, not at the result of Imbalance -  is sacred, and therefore homosexuality is celebrated, alongside heterosexuality, bisexuality, pan-sexuality and asexuality. It is just another part of being Human, being individual. In the same way some people have blue eyes, brown hair, pale skin, whatever, some people are homosexual. Its just another facet to humanity. And a positive one none the less.

Consider this, in the Bible, it doesn’t ACTUALLY say that homosexuality was wrong – it said that sodomy was wrong. ‘Men who lie with men shall not gain access to the kingdom of Heaven’ – or words to that effect. Thing is, a heterosexual couple can perform sodomy, so that would make that hell worthy. So much for marital bliss.

Also, if the Christian God didn’t want gay people, would he not just, you know, not invented them? I mean, it’s a bit of a challenge to omnipotence isn’t it? Why create something that It cannot control? Or rather, why give free will and choice, but say it’s actually not all that free after all. Personally, I think that the Christian God is a bit of confused deity, as It is very quick to change its mind, and to cover up discrepancies…

Just to raise a point, partly because I just thought of it, does this mean that Clergy who partake in homosexual paedophilic behaviour AREN’T Christian after all… despite all the defensiveness the Vatican and other Christian churches are going through? Because surely, they would
