Poetry: Life's lessons

Lessons

My son teaches me basic lessons of life
In a world filled with strife
I learn to live for the moment
And forget all problems that are absent
To take pleasure in simple things
That each day brings
The mobile over his cot fills him with delight
During the day and night
Trees never fail to make him happy
Even when he is snappy
I learned to let my painful memories go
My heart fills with love as I watch him grow
