Of course we should forgive Tiger Woods for his "bad behavior ". He is a mere human being prone to make mistakes. I hear the "no one is perfect" often enough and surely no one really is. Tiger Woods is not unlike so many other athletes and males who are easily tempted with a "sly smile", "silicone filled chest" and "bleached blond hair ".
What's not to like "hooter girls gone wild" everywhere, for athletes with loads of dough to throw around. But seriously, Tiger Woods behavior is not unlike so many other male celebrities.
Whether someone is rich or poor, infidelity abounds in all social classes around the globe. What would make anyone want to tar and feather Tiger, other than the fact that he is a rich, bi-racial (black), successful man with many admirers. He is not "God" for Pete's sake.
Most of us profess to be Christian or of a Christian-like persuasion. I often question that, however, the Christian-like thing to do is to forgive. Christ says to forgive seventy times seven, or something to that effect. So being that I call myself Christian, if it's a sunny day, I must forgive.
No doubt, Tiger is a bit naive and who among us has not been there, I certainly have and probably still is in some areas. I am only human.
We should also understand that Tiger Woods is a very handsome and attractive young man. Women and men will always be drawn to him. That type of adoration has to be tough to deal with. One has to be very strong willed and mature to keep things in perspective. That cannot be an easy task, especially for a young, rich, handsome male.
I would love to think that I would not go "goo-goo" or "ga-ga" if I would be so lucky as to meet the great golfer someday but I too am human, and probably would fall at his feet and worship him, the man is gorgeous! Only k-i-d-d-i-n-g (yeah right)!
Albeit to say we all possess or exhibit "bad behavior" tantamount to making poor choices in some form or fashion. We are but mere everyday people who display frailties at any given moment. Let's try not to be so judgmental, he's still young.
He seems to be very remorseful and wants to save his marriage which is admirable. It cannot be easy to have to face the world and be judged so harshly. Who among us could do that and stay sane?
And to those of you perfect people who think that he should not be forgiven. Are his sins greater than yours? And if your answer is yes. Who told you that? All sins are equal in "God's" eye, yours, mine and Tiger's. If God can forgive you for all of your sins and mines.
Then I too must forgive Tiger Woods. God already has!
