Store Bought computers being compared to custom builds, which is better?
It would depend on what you are looking for, and what you will be using that computer for. As a system being used for something as simple as word processing and some Internet browsing will have lower requirements, then say a system that you want to run the latest 3d Games on Such as Sims2 or the newer version dually called Sims3. Games with High Graphic demands and Memory requirements will often be something quite different then the most basic Word Processing or Internet Browsing.
There are of course pros and cons of each setup, now as a builder myself let's first start with some benefits when you build your own computer, which will be followed by some drawbacks and finally onto store bought computers, differences and comparisons.
To start, think about what you will be using the computer for primarily, whether it will be processor intensive or more just functional enough to get done what you need it for.
In the initial purchase of the board take some time to look at it's specifications, the website of the company who makes the board is a good start. In taking that time to familiarize yourself with what the board is capable of you are further aware of what you should be looking for. Really in the activity of building the system it also becomes a bit of a new education, fortunately as the Internet now stretches the globe has made it a great resource to find out much more then we as people have been aware of before when life would tend to try and censor or hide ideas that were not agreeable. Since the Interconnected World is public domain and high speed internet connections have become more constant this amazing resource can be accessed in researching what you need for the system you dream of.
First there are numerous benefits that can be gained through building your computer such as;
• You can custom build your system so it can work best for what you use it mostly for. As the sims games mentioned earlier proclaim in minimum requirements, to really run the game well you need to have a high end graphics card with 3d Mapping as the game is run almost exclusively in the Third Dimension.
• You are able to comparison shop for the peripherals, online offline, whatever works for you. In that you are able to get an idea for an approximate cost comparison. Armed with that information you are able to get the best deal and the best match for what you need to do.
