Many of us listen to a song, watch people on the street, look at a piece of art and can imagine in our heads a whole bunch of scenarios, circumstances and people that let to that song or art, but only a few of us actually grab those pictures in our heads and put them to paper.
If you want to jump to the writer´s desk or you know someone who wants to take those images and turn them into an actual movie there is one way to do it, and do it right, first you have to research what a screenplay is.
Now, it is true that every writer is different and each of them uses their own tools to better their crafts, but since you or your friends are new writers you need someone who can guide you towards this adventure, once you feel comfortable and knowledgeable about the subject you can choose your own tools, for now, here´s a book that can get you on the right path.
