Natural remedies for high blood pressure

There are numerous causes for hypertension as you get older. Get thoroughly checked out by your Dr. before trying any of these or other natural remedies.

This first of all will depend on your age, and after getting checked out by you're Dr. One of the first few things, mainly common sense is weight, exercise, water intake and salt.

You want to make sure you are getting enough sleep and enough water. We are suppose to take in 8 8oz. glasses a day. This is to build up volume in the blood and wash out impurities. Of course our weight has a lot to do with it. We need to stay at our recommended wt. for our age and build. Moderate exercise and some cardiovascular worked in strengthens the heart. It is also known to relax and make you feel good from the endorphins released in the brain after exercising. We need to watch our salt intake and what kind we are using. Sea salt is recommended over regular iodized table salt.

A studies have shown that garlic powder may be affective for mild hypertension.

Hawthorne is another herb that is shown in studies to be effective in treating mild hypertension.

Here are some proven  herbs and supplements to avoid. Licorice,Ephedra,Asian ginseng,Rosemary essential oil.

Traditional Chinese medicine to help lower and control blood pressure. A combination of acupuncture and herbs. Honey, Chinese celery, and Hawthorne berries are among the most popular.

Mind and body interventions, can also play a part. Autogenic Training, Yoga and bio-feed back can modestly contribute to lowering blood pressure.These are used for stress reduction methods. Yoga being the most popular and widely used. We all know that stress plays a major part in our body and how it functions. Stress definitely affects blood pressure.

If you smoke your blood pressure goes up for 20 minutes with each cigarette! By then a real smoker is going to be reaching for another. Obviously quitting smoking will help lower and control your blood pressure.We have went over a lot of ways but If you combine these in a sensiblel way of living you can control your bloodpressure, to a certain degree.

You CAN stop smoking, you CAN maintain a good weight, you CAN exercise moderately each day. These in combination with each other and incorporating some of the other things we talked about can help you in the fight against hypertension.
