The expression of love is an interesting topic considering many of us are still learning the true meaning of the word "L.O.V.E.". The word in itself is so incomplete in our English language.

I am everyday humbly trying to learn more about what true love is but I do believe we have complicated something so simple as love. Here are a few things I will share in no particular order of importance of what I feel shows an expression of love from our heart.

1. I have found that you can give gifts of many kind but the most difficult gift to give and the one that seems to be worth the most when giving is our time. This is our most prized possession and it is something we can never get back once we give it. So when we give it we are truly expecting nothing in return.

2. In today's day and age of texting and emailing try something our ancestors used to do. Do you still own a pencil or stationary? Ha! Smile ... you cannot beat an old fashion hand written love letter. It takes more time and effort which shows the one you are thinking of that they are worth it. There is something magical about a hand written letter and it often becomes a keepsake to the one who receives it. Not to mention that it can be read over and over to remind them of your love.

3. The power of touch really does go a long way. Especially when we are talking about feet. There are thousands of nerves within the foot and when touched every part of the body can be reached by these electric shock waves that are sent out from these little piggies. It is also a part of the body that is kind of sensitive ... being that no one really thinks their feet are pretty. In fact most of them are stinky and ugly so by touching them shows love in a way nothing else can.

4. Asking questions about your loved one shows that you are interested in who they are. To study something shows that you are passionate about that subject. What better way to show love than to seek out the answers to the mystery you are searching...... that being your lover.

5. Using all the information you have gathered plan a detailed day packed full of all the things your special one loves. For example: perhaps they mentioned how they have always wanted to learn how to kayak. Plan a kayak class together with a local instructor and then take her out to lunch to a place you heard them mention they always wanted to try but never have had the chance to go there yet.

6. Body language can often say more than words. Sit close while watching movies, hold hands
