Finding legitimate work from home jobs

Are you looking for a no scam, no fee, work from home opportunity? This is the opening sentence of almost 99% internet searches. With a computer or a laptop in every home, work from home has now become a fad. The internet claims to be filled with free work from home opportunities for stay at home moms, college going teens and those who are retired or disabled. You can choose whichever area that suits you and begin working from home.

However, there is a catch here too. Very often, the users are provided search results that are misleading. You are bound to find several links that only end up explaining how you can efficiently work from home, work online, work part time and so on. These websites try to sell you an e-book or require you to subscribe to their newsletter promising to inform you of several job openings.

Apart from the newsletters and ad campaigns about work from home opportunities, you might also want to try home typing jobs, data entry jobs, online proofreading, editing and transcribing. I was looking into all these aspects for a few weeks. Needless to say that none seemed to be true. There were links that said I could do data entry or write text listening to audio but nothing seems to be free from scams.

It is common that most stay at home moms are easy targets for such scams and survey frauds. It is not that every paid survey is a scam but you need to carefully read through their policies and terms. You would want to be sure that there is no hidden fee or charge that you are not aware of. It is also advisable not to provide your personal information on any website unless you know that it is legitimate.

Many data entry websites also offer to send you job opportunities once you sign up for some fee. Here is the catch as you begin to think them to be legitimate work from home jobs. You might send them the required amount of dollars and wait for weeks. It is ensured that nothing would eventually turn up since they are nothing but a scam. Hence, beware of any such site which needs you to pay in advance before using their product or service.

Thus, after a few weeks of futile internet search for work from home typing jobs, accounting jobs, data entry opportunities, I realized that the only legitimate and easy way to make money from home is to write. Spend your time writing about your favorite subjects. These could range from daily chores to shopping, gardening, cooking or even raising kids. It is always a good idea to promote such writing through your blog or by joining an article writing website.

There are several legitimate work from home opportunities for writing articles, developing web content which are free from scam and need no fee. You could always begin by joining free sites like Associated Content, Helium, eHow, eZine and similar websites. There are also websites like eLance which offer a free membership that can be upgraded for a nominal cost once you get a hang of it.

In addition to writing articles, promoting them can also earn you easy money. This can be easily done using an account in Twitter, Facebook, Blogger, Digg and other social networking and bookmarking sites. Earning money from home is not so tough. You need to beware of scammers and be motivated to write good content that would earn you money through page views and up fronts. Hope these tips would save your time and energy and help you in your search for legitimate work from home jobs.
