Poetry: Why I write

by Lamia Black

Created on: April 06, 2010

I write to express

All things I feel

And can not confess

When I write

I wear my heart on my sleeve

So pure and white

I am young

The loss and pain I have felt

Can’t ever be sung

The anger that pulses deep

Within my blood

Only fear there can creep

All I ever write is

Pain and love

It’s like I stare across an abyss

I probably sound pathetic

But I am who I am

All I can hear is the clock tick

This is why I write

Now you know

Of my inner fight
