You often ask me
What's on my mind
What am I thinking
Trying to hide deep inside
I want so badly to tell you
What's on my mind every day
I'm just not sure
Of what you would say
I thought I was sure
Of how I wanted things to be
But now my mind is consumed
With thoughts of you and me
It's with you I want to share
What happens in my day
Yet I'm scared to hope
You feel the same way

Even sitting here now
I struggle to make my thoughts known
Maybe I'm just afraid
Of how my feelings for you have grown
So if I had the chance
And knew you wouldn't go away
To tell you everything I think about
This is what I would say
The more I get to know you
The more I want to know
How your past has brought you here
From here, where you want to go
I would take the chance to tell you
How amazing I think you are
How much you really mean to me
You have become my guiding star
I dream of being in your arms
Of feeling your lips on mine
Nights of passion, days of fun
Just being together, much of the time
I miss you like crazy
When I don't hear your voice
I would love more time with you
But I know that is your choice
You're the reason I smile
The only one most days
Just by being who you are
Sometimes it's the things you say
You don't make empty promises
Or try to play with my mind
You're unlike anyone else I know
Definitely one of a kind
You make me see myself
In a different light
You don't try to make me feel stupid
Even when I'm not right
I enjoy our time together
No matter what we do
It means more to me than you know
Just because I'm with you
More important than anything
I know on you I can depend
No matter what the future holds
I know I have a true friend
I don't know how to explain
Everything I feel
All I know for sure
Is that it is real
Not telling you is getting harder
With each passing day
I'm scared of the outcome
Because I don't know what you would say
