Poetry: A blank page

by Karey White

Created on: April 05, 2010

The cover is beautiful.

A picture of a happy girl, a smile on her face.

It is me.

I settle in to discover my life.

I open the book, anticipation making my heart race.

The page is blank.

I turn the pages to find nothing there.

Where?  Where is my story?

Where is my life?

I gaze at my open front door, wondering.

I close the book, stand and walk through the door.

My story isn't on the blank page.

It is out there.

I will find it.
