Does a dolphin have wings?

Can a cow somehow fly?

Can it snow in July?

Can I touch the clouds?

These things are possible,

And then maybe more.

But only a poem can make it come true.

Only a poem, with it's magical words.

And the dolphin leaps, from the water so high.

Spreading its wings, it soars through the air.

Is this really true? The answer is yes.

But only in a poem...with its magical words.

Thunder and lightening crashed through the air!

And the cow spread her wings and flew to the sun!

Is this really true? The answer is yes.

But only in a poem...with its magical words.

Today we celebrate, the Fourth of July.

And the fireworks rattled and rumbled through the sky.

And after they're gone, the snow came down.

Is this really true?

But only in a poem...with its magical words.

My arms reached high, yes, into the sky.

I cradled a cloud, like a big ball of cotton.

Is this really true? The answer is yes.

But only in a poem...with its magical words.

All things are possible, oh yes it is true.

Poetry tells us, and this is for you.

So read me a poem, with it's magical words.

And make good things happen, that may seem absurd!.
