Waves that beckon me to enter,
Fear that holds me back.
Its seemingly vast surface that thrills
my being with a first time glance.
The ocean can roar like a lion in a storm,
or lap at the beach, sounding like a dog
that laps his water from his dish.
I love the ocean, feeling the fear lessen,
as it beckons me

Dreams and lives
it buries deep
within its bosom
of silent power
at no ones
mercy or call

And many different moods,
From violent raging tempests,
To lucid interludes.
