Living a life as a rock star can often end up as an miss fortunate event that nobody could predict. We were witnesses of abruptly suspended lives that have made an influence on all of us. Being famous was too hard for the people who decided to end their lives with a violent act. They were our idols and suddenly they've decided that it is time to go.

Janis Joplin, a unique voice of blues, created her music through 1969. and 1970. She overdosed with heroin she was addicted to. Janis made a revolution in music influencing on the following generations as one of the few women who did music at the time when 98% singers were men. She was such a talent and people saw potential inside her, but her weakness overcame her talent. Janis left us her music and postmortem she was accepted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She also got Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005. One thing we can learn from her death is that we shouldn't be afraid to follow our dreams despite anything.

Kurt Cobain, founder of a popular band Nirvana, killed himself in 1994. Kurt left a suicide note. This was his reason to go: "I haven't felt the excitement of listening to as well as creating music, along with really writing . . . for too many years now". Kurt left us his songs that carry on his message. Enjoy in what you're doing, and stop doing it only when you feel it's time, not when somebody else tells you to.

Sid Vicious, bassist of punk band Sex Pistols, died in 1979. of heroin overdose. His music started revolution. His band introduced and popularized punk music among teenagers. He was a rebel and he has proved that even with his death. Many fans found his message, they've continued to stand up to authorities just the way he always did.

Jim Morrison, a lead singer of the group The Doors, a man whose death is still a mystery. There are a few stories about the way he died. The official one says that Jim overdosed with heroin. His funeral was a secret that his friend kept for some time after Jim died. Today he is still one of the biggest rock legends. He showed his fans that music can change the world. He also wrote poetry and his songs remained a poetry for everyone who loved his work.

All these people left a great influence on us. The music they've created is a music for life. They shared a pieces of their own lives with us, and when they felt like there is nothing more to give, they decided to leave us with their legacy. I'll finish this with a quote that best describes their thoughts:“It's better to burn out than to fade away...“ (K. Cobain, suicide note). Thank you for everything you gave us.
