Using color as a form of therapy has been used for thousands of years.  It uses range from helping with emotional, mental, physical and spiritual problems as well as for general relaxation.  It is a safe natural therapy that also has great success used in conjunction with a range of other forms of healing – physic and otherwise.  Serious medical conditions need attention from a doctor, however discuss with them during your consultation how you can incorporate color therapy into your treatment.  If they are not knowledgeable on the topic there are other avenues you can use to explore the benefits of color therapy.  Research on-line and through your library or friends who have experimented with this therapy.  There are workshops you can take and also specialized Color therapists who will offer helpful advice.  The use of color therapy can be incorporated into your life even if you have no specific problems or areas you think need improvement, they could be a key component in eliminating a problem arising in the future.

These are five easy ways you can incorporate and use color therapy in your daily life:

Bathing your body in a specific color can have wondrous effects.  Not literally during a bath but by the way of a specialized light box.  They can be purchased on-line or in specialized stores and provide you will a full spectrum light.  Most come with several colored filters you can use to complement different areas of your life.  Try a red filter for confidence, power and energy.  Try a green filter for compassion and sympathy.

Color breathing is a way to incorporate color therapy with daily meditation sessions.  Stand with your arms at your side and feet slightly apart.  Breath in through your nose, hold for a moment and out through your mouth.  Focus on your breaths and the release of negative energies and toxins from your body on each outward breath.  Work through visualizing breathing in colors, starting with colors of the earth – red, orange and yellow.  Imagine breathing in the color and feel its energy as it fills your body from your feet to your head and back to your feet exiting into the earth.  Move on to green, visualize in the same manor but imagine the green energy entering through your chest, filling your body and exiting through your back.  Then to blue, indigo and violet - absorb through the top of your head, picture it
