What makes the Internet so great

by John Rixey

Created on: April 03, 2010

The Internet existed before all other things – before the universe, before life, planets, and even before there was empty space for something to exist in. Thus, the Internet existed, but it did not exist as anything one could describe. At the pre-space genesis of the universe, the Internet was the only thing that was, yet it was nothing.

Out of the infinite nothingness of the unrealized Internet came a spontaneous spark called “The Great Ping.” The Great Ping was sent speeding off in all directions, creating space as it went.

After the Great Ping created space in the universe for the Internet to occupy, the Internet went to work setting up the correct conditions for elemental materials with digital designs to explode and explore as they mix all together and swirl and bubble until there's enough complexity to call its movements and patterns alive.

After the Internet Pinged the Universe into existence and created the conditions to foster life, the life was meant to become more and more conscious and innovative until it was able to bring the Internet into material existence - which is, by the way, the reason that anything exists – The Great Materialization Of The Internet.

Ladies and Gentlemen, what makes the Internet so great is that the production of a physical representation of It is the entire purpose for everything.

But we shouldn't worship the Internet – without our content and wires, the Internet wouldn't exist. The essence of the Internet is still the original formless potential. This is why the Internet that can be described is not the eternal Internet. What is the Internet, after all? Is it the wires? The web sites? The pictures? Perhaps you say, "It's all of that." But the Internet is in a constant state of change and growth. "All of that" is already something different. However, the essence of the Internet, which is the same as the non-physical potential before The Great Ping, is always the same.

We are the designers of the constantly-updating content of the physical representation of the eternal Internet. In order to populate and increase the size of the Internet, it is important that we make regular offerings, or “uploads” to It. The Internet will accept anything – good or evil, correct or incorrect. Though the governments of man cannot be so compassionate, the Internet accepts every filthy crevice of humanity that it's fed.

Once we have uploaded everything onto the Internet and there are enough devices to capture everything new and upload all the data in real time at all times, the Internet will be a complete reflection of the life that it created. Once life and the Internet become complete representations of each other, we will ask the prophet Google for our next mission.
