"Our enemies have made the mistake that America’s enemies always make. They saw liberty and thought they saw weakness. And now, they see defeat."
- George W. Bush
The terror of 9-11 caused America to act rightfully violent towards Iraq and Saddam Hussein, leading up to the War In Iraq "War on Terror". The injustice that the terrorists have committed was a terribly wrongful act that wasn't reacted on kindly by the American people.
To pull out of the war now, which is what many people wish we would do, would not only show a sign of weakness to our enemies for what they would see as us running away from them, but would also lead many to believe that America has lost many soldiers lives for no reason.
The War on Terror, is not only keeping the terrorism down which is a victory in itself, but is also providing our U.S. Military with vital information that could help us greatly in the future.
Granted, there are still terrorist acts being committed by the Taliban, but not as many as there would be if we weren't there to keep them at bay. Think of it this way, America is at war with Iraq, keeping the terrorists acts to a minimum, due to our soldiers raiding the terrorist headquarters and stopping terrorist acts before they've been committed.
Now if we weren't in war with Iraq, there wouldn't be anybody to keep their terrorist acts down. Around every street corner across the globe would be a heavy explosive just waiting for an innocent victim to come into it's path.
Every day that our soldiers occupy the enemy land is a victory in itself. Our military keeps the terrorism to a minimum, and we get to live another day at home, not worrying about a suicide bomber being in your office. We may lose a few soldiers lives every now and then, but they died for a patriotic cause.
They knew the risks, and they took it. They spend each day in the battlefield, so we don't have to. Pulling out of the war would just be an act of defeat. War is not a game, you can't just quit and hope that nobody cares and the enemy goes onto doing something else. There are no ties in war, there is only victory and defeat! Pulling out of war, is an absolute defeat and that is not the American way.
There is a victory every day we occupy the enemy territory, and to think so otherwise is just plain out absurd.
