As a teenager you should be well aware of the fact that your parents are not an endless source of money. Sure, there are a few of you who have super parents but for the rest of you, sooner or later you will have to make your way in this truly harsh World.
More often than not, you will need a good education and the desire to be a better person today than you were yesterday. You will also have to have an interest that will pay your living expenses and allow you to create a family of your own and retire in relative comfort.
Like it or not, you will have to save some of your current income for those things besides food and shelter. You should also pay all of your bills on time in order to establish a credit history.
People with good credit get to have credit cards, which, by the way, are good things to have in case of an emergency. Bad things do happen that can cost money that you might not have when you most need such ready cash.
Just starting out in life on your own you should know that only a fool spends money for those things that they can live without. Buy only what you can afford to pay for within a few months. Keep in mind that you need a job that will allow you to enjoy what most people can afford to purchase. That is, you will need a mode of transportation and be able to pay for the auto insurance that is a must with such a responsibility.
You will need a place in which to live and furniture and food to help keep you healthy and alive. So too, when you can satisfy those obligations you will hopefully have some money left over in which to purchase a few extras.
If you are like me, you will want to buy a computer, a television, a few radios, cloths and have an active social life, in order to attract a mate for life. Dating is expensive and if you do not have that extra few dollars available for such fun, well, you are out of luck.
A life plan is a good thing to make for you. Where do you want to be tomorrow, next week, next month or several years from now? Where there is a will there is also a way. That way depends on you and how you live your life.
Since each of us is somehow different from every other person who is alive on earth only you can create that life plan for yourself. Then again, you can follow the example of famous people from the past. How did they become rich and/or famous? For most of us, being like our parents is truly a huge mistake.
Do you really want a good life? If so, follow the examples of Ben Franklin and Cornelius Vanderbilt. They are two men who, during their time became rich and famous as a result of hard work and the accumulated wisdom that they acquired as time passed.
Like them, you can find your own place in this World that will allow you to enjoy a good life, even if you do not become filthy rich in the process. Keep in mind that if you help others you also help yourself.
