Blessings for Japan
(The water has receded)
Treasures lost amidst the trampled smell of mud, where broken chairs and teddy-bears lie
Heartbeats taken too soon, amongst silent prayers
The wind, witness to evaporating tears on sunburned skin
The water has receded
All those who look upon; perhaps a cormorant spying a shimmer of gold
Once a memory of familiar
Shattered city ruins on distant shores
a billion eyes viewing
History, written in the hand of friendship
The water has receded
Seeds of compassion sprinkled, and faith once again shall grow
One universal consciousness, of, once beautiful memories
That; the gift that never can be taken from you
Now, the water has receded

I see so much destruction. I'm surprised I am OK.
