American Idol 2010 top 10 eliminatons results show vote: Didi voted off

The American Idol 2010 top ten eliminations results show vote show began well enough with Ruben Stoddard singing in support of his new album “Love Is.” It’s good to see he dropped some weight and is feeling better, but he looks like he’s bound for the State Fair circuit. Then again when compared to this batch of Idol wannabes that look like the toys the were rejected from the island of misfit toys. Stoddard sounds like pure gold.

The first group of safe votes may not necessarily reflect what most people would agree on. Lee DeWyze avoided the bottom three and his voice is so annoying the UN ought to step in and hammer out a binding resolution to shut him up indefinitely or at least have him classified as a weapon of mass annoyance.  Granted compared to the general public the guy rocks, but as an Idol contestant “pedestrian” is the keyword. Casey and Aaron got the safe vote as well and avoided the stools.

Siobahn and   stood up together for a critique. Siobahn responded to being called weak by saying she would make no excuses, blah blah blah….Through the Fire wasn’t the best song for her but she did pretty well. Katie Stevens who sang Chain of Fools is no Christina Aguilera as the panel pointed out, and it shows - stay in your actual vocal range for a change.  Siobahn was safe and took a seat in the safe zone while Katie did the walk of shame to the bottom 3 staging area. Katie is pretty good, but she just can’t settle on what kind of singer she is and the judges were right to point that out.

If Jack Palance were there he’d likely say “I crap bigger than Justin Beiber.” As Usher’s valet though, it had to be expected he would be there. Usher was pretty good although he looked like he dialed it in a little bit. will.i.am was a nice touch and added a pulse to the set.

Didi took a walk to the stools as well for her overly dramatized performance “What Becomes of the Broken Hearted.” She took it in stride although you could see she wanted to spew a few expletives. Michael Lnche got praise for his rendition of “Ready For Love” which was one of his better performances of the season but he still kinda sucks.

Crystal Bowersox was safe as everyone knew she would be because let’s face it, she is going to win. She’s
