The idea that someone is lucky and that is why they are successful is an interesting one. A person could be lucky if they are born in to a family that has money and can educate them in a surrounding that gives then the best start in life. But apart from that luck has very little to do with it.
A lot of self made millionaires have a lot in common and that is that they do not do thing like the rest of us. A lot of them have dropped out of school, or not gone on to further education. Many have made lots of money, lost lots of money and then got it all back again. And ever so often, they have not played the game by the established rules, making the rules up as they go along.
So if you were to ask what makes a person a millionaire, it is probably that they are prepared to take more of a risk than what most of us are . And in doing so reap better and stronger rewards, but that like most generalisations is not true. But to look at the qualities that they might have is something that we can do.
Self belief, you must believe in yourself. Only you can push yourself to do what you have to do and if you doubt yourself then other will doubt you as well. Self belief is not brash over confidence in your own abilities, but a belief that you can get the job done.
Positive attitude, nothing is ever as bad as it seems. And if it is then you have to fight to make it better. If you have self belief then you will have a positive attitude. Look for the answer not just see the problems. And if you are positive and have self belief then other will see it and will trust in you.
A sociable out look on life. Open to others and other will open to you. If you are a person who get on with people and can talk to others as well as listen then you will find that you will get more out of people than if you do not. This does not mean that you will let people walk all over you, firm but fare, measured and calm.
Do not fear failure. To not make it and to make a mistake is some thing that we all do. As long as we learn from those mistakes and move on from them as a better person. If we fare making a mistake then we will not commit to any thing. If we can not commit to any thing then we will not be able to go and really do what we want to do.
Accept that rejection is part of the process. To be told no is not the end of the world. You could have a grate idea that you believe in. But you must make other believe in it as well. Other might not be willing to give it a try. A lot of the time people do not like change. And most often if they do not know you they will not open up to your ideas. This is when you need you self belief, positive attitude and sociable personality.
And if you have all of the above qualities then you only need to have one more. And that is hard work. Any person who you see who is successful at almost any field has to work at it. They study and practice every day to get better and push themselves to become the very best that they can.
You can get lucky and every now and then, things just go your way. But if you are not prepared to seize the opportunities when they present themselves, then luck will pass you by.
