Oneness vs. Trinity doctrine.
In studying this subject, the first point that concerns me is the verbiage of oneness and trinity. The Bible does not use either. The Bible speaks of a Godhead. Therefore, I ask myself, why then would anyone use a different phrase? What that has done is create a rift in the family of God. I am sure Satan is loving every minute of it.
Before I began this study, I felt that the two were probably meaning the same thing, just expressing it differently. After studying the several articles on this subject, I found myself leaning more towards the trinity side, although there are good and bad points on both sides. It is a matter of perspective and how certain words are interpreted. It seemed to me that both components are really complicating an already complicated issue. I am sure that God did not intend it to be that way; For He is not the author of confusion. So then, as I said before, Satan is loving it.
Furthermore, Christians are willing to fight to the death over this issue. I saw on a Face Book web page, whose name I wont mention, where Christians were calling each other devils and everything but the child of God for believing one way or another. A great example of Christian love. (Not). Wars have started over such things, because we are in the flesh and not living according to the Spirit of God. We become self-righteous in our Righteousness.
It is difficult for us to re-think something that we are sold out on. Generally speaking, there is nothing wrong with this, unless we go around with a dogmatic and closed mind.
In the past, I had heard of these Doctrines, but I was never indoctrinated into either. I came out of a Non-Denominational Church and was not poisoned by such religious dogma. Thank God. Even though in Non-denominational settings, the same type of dogmatic mindsets can also occur.
So after, I read the articles concerning these so-called Doctrines. I put them aside and went to the scriptures myself. And as I prayed and meditated on this issue, the following things were clear in my spirit.
Now to the subject at hand. I like to call this. The witness of witnesses. Consider these verses. To me they clear the air concerning this subject. Let them speak for themselves. Remember the as a Child lesson?
