When Dancing With the Stars went into the voting phase, it wasn’t pretty. The tension wasn’t that bad at first because everyone knows it will begin with a few couples that are absolutely safe being cleared, but they need some way to stretch the hour out. Buzz Aldrin has had the lowest scores the first two weeks, and while it is great to see him getting out there at 80 years old, let’s be honest - he isn’t getting done. Like the rest of the viewing audience the question isn’t if he will go but when he will go, and for the show to have a shred of integrity the sooner the better.
Now that is not to say the vote of the fans is not important, but can he be that popular that counting off his steps aloud, missing steps, and looking like he needs a handful of Centrum Silver tablets and oxygen mask after each dance is completely overlooked? Pamela Anderson even remarked “is this a joke?” when finding out the fans saved Buzz over her, but that just proves the “Gray Panthers” love seeing someone their own age and can’t hack seeing Pammy shake what they never had, because really, bodies like Anderson’s are made, not grown. Evidently the tribe has spoken - to rip off another show - and it is enough to overlook his high suck factor. At least the Beach Boys were nice to see because any excuse to see Cheryl Burke work it is a good thing.

I’m not sure if more rhinestones is always better, but Len must know what he’s talking about. Evan and Anna got the all clear vote after Len’s bit, which made it four couples that were safe. Needless to say within seconds of that announcement the ABC hosted DWTS forum was full of complaints that the show was rigged as nobody could believe Pamela Anderson was still in the bottom two with Buzz Aldrin.
Jake and Chelsea got the all clear vote next quickly followed by Nicole and Derek to make it six couples safe with four remaining. Oddly enough, they never took the opportunity to cash in on the rumor that Kate Gosselin really is a nut job. It was only yesterday that “sources backstage” reported that she tried to get her partner Tony fired and went into full on diva mode insisting that he - the professional dancer with championships under his belt, was the weaker member of the pair. According to the “backstage source
