Earning money online doesn’t need to be as difficult as it seems.  Anybody who has actively searched for opportunities to earn money online has found more scams and dead-ends than checks from any of the websites claiming to pay them for their services.  But there are good opportunities available.  It’s important to find the right sites and then it will be simple to earn a few bucks online.

WRITING - Try your hand at writing.  Some sites pay for blog entries.  Others ask that you write articles.  For example, here at Helium, writers are invited to write on a seemingly endless supply of topics.  And if there is a topic that hasn’t already been created, you can create your own title and write the first article for it.

The site works like this:  Helium sells ads on their website.  The more hits a particular title gets, the more money Helium is able to receive for their ad space.  Helium then pays it’s writers a portion of the ad revenue.  In order to decide which writers should make more of the money, there is a rating system in place.  Writers only make money if they have been rating other articles.  Therefore, the process of rating articles is ongoing and the more deserving articles are always paid more than the lower-rated articles.

I’ve been on Helium for a couple of years and have about 275 articles.  I often go several months without writing an article, but those 275 articles are still working for me.  As long as I rate articles, I still earn money.  In fact, I went more than six months without writing an article, but I made $15-$20 per month in royalties from those articles.  The more articles you write, the more money you will make!  It’s a no-brainer!

SURVEYS – This is the other form of online money-making that I enjoy.  Some people like it because they feel that it’s an opportunity to have their voice heard.  Others like it because of the money.  You’ll never get rich filling out surveys online, but over time, you will accumulate some decent money.

When I’m bored and have nothing better to do, I’ll spend a few minutes and fill out a survey online.  A 15-minute survey might only earn $1.50 for me, but over time, this will really add up.  I’m a member with several different survey websites, and I have a combined $1,600 in those sites.  I figured that when I get to $2,000 I will cash out and take a vacation!

There are a lot of survey sites out there but only a few that actually seem to pay cash.  I use Global Test Market (www.surveyspot.com) most frequently, with Global Test Market the most consistent source of surveys and income.

SELL THINGS – Everyone knows about eBay.  It’s like a virtual garage sale!  If you have some items around the house that you no longer value but think others might, throw it on eBay.  You can usually make decent money by doing this.

This isn’t as simple of a solution as the first two, because it requires a bit more work.  But if you have stuff beginning to clutter up your house, you can make some money by getting rid of it.  The buyers pay for the shipping, so it only costs your time.  That’s it!

These are the best ways to make money online.  At least without having to invest any money!  Good luck!
