There are a few treatment options available for those who suffer from Morgellons (also known as Morgellon's Disease or Morgellon's Syndrome), but no known cure at this time. Many treatment options are designed as treatments for other diseases or ailments (physical and/or psychological), but are effective at treating specific Morgellons symptoms. If patients are willing to accede that many doctor's will not see Morgellons as their problem and therefore will want to treat the symptoms, they will find a treatment option (or several, perhaps) that work.

Holistic Treatment Options

Many holistic options exist for the treatment of Morgellon's Disease. They include:  
• Using Epsom salts and similar additives for baths.  
• Eating fruits and vegetables that are low in sugar.  
• Avoiding lunchmeat and similar pre-packaged foods.  
• Wearing clothes only once before laundering.  
• Drinking only purified water (such as distilled or filtered water).  
• Colonics and similar remedies have proven to be helpful for treatment of many symptoms and for general bodily detoxification.  
• Discontinue the use of items such as bleach, ammonia, pesticides, fragrance/mineral oils, and any cleansing items that are similarly made.  
• Use products such as baking soda, salt, borax, and botanical blends to wash clothing.  
• Use items that are chemical free to wash fruits, vegetables, and animals.  

Medical Treatment Options

Medical treatment options for Morgellons are limited. They include treatments such as:  
• Medications designed to treat Lyme disease.  
• Antidepressants and prescriptions for medicines that deal with bipolar disorder and attention deficit disorder (ADD).  
• Some allergy medications or medications that target mold sufferers.  
• For those just beginning to suffer from Morgellons symptoms, antibiotics can effectively offer relief.  
• Antifungal medications are very helpful for many Morgellons sufferers.  
• Laser skin treatments have been proven to offer skin relief for longer periods of time than many other methods.  
 
One of the most important treatment methods for Morgellons patients is an open mind. While this seems like it would be a given, for Morgellons patients it is not. These patients are often looked down upon by the medical community as a whole, and treated as psychologically-impaired. They are often laughed
