I love trying new shampoos and one shampoo that I have heard friends talk about but have never tried is the Aussie range of shampoos. I think the think that has put me off trying them before is that they cost around £3.99 which is a bit more than I normally spend on a shampoo but as I saw them on Tesco on a buy one get one free offer I thought I would give them a try.
The Aussie shampoo comes in a plastic cream coloured bottle. The bottle is solid coloured so you cant see how much shampoo is left in it. The bottle has a flip cap lid which I found was a bit stiff to use. The thing I like most about the bottle is the lovely little hopping kangaroos embossed around the top of the bottle, I am easily pleased! The bottle holds 300ml of shampoo.
The bottle states that the Miracle Moist Shampoo is for hair that is “dry, damaged and a bit unhappy”.
It is made using the Queensland Macadamia Nut and then we see the humour of the Aussie company as it states that the Miracle shampoo is “a miracle! (well kind of). Not like child birth or a solar eclipse but our formula with Queensland Macadamia Nut extract, infuses moisture into dry damaged hair, helping condition and smooth.”
The shampoo is quite strong smelling and might not be to everyones taste but I have to say I really like it. Its quite a sweet smell, my hairdresser says it reminds her of bubblegum. I’m not sure I like the smell of bubblegum but I do like this smell on my hair. The great thing is that the smell really lasts and not just whilst your hair is wet but even later in the day. My hairdresser says she can always tell which of her clients uses the shampoo as she can pick up the scent and she says it’s a great shampoo for your hair too.
However its not just the smell I like it’s the effect it has on my hair. This really is a miracle moist shampoo. The shampoo is a lovely thick creamy consistency and it bubbles up well on your hair. As soon as it does you can feel it moisturising your hair. I don’t always use conditioner with this shampoo as I feel it really moisturises my hair just itself. I do have to say here though that the accompanying conditioner is fantastic and makes your hair feel like silk.
I love this shampoo. It leaves my hair feeling so much softer and smoother and looks shiny. I wash and blow dry my hair everyday and use straighteners most days which I know isn’t good for my hair but this shampoo leaves my hair looking great. This shampoo is more expensive than the other brands I have used in the past but I think this is a case of getting what you pay for and I am happy to pay the extra for a really good product. I will however be keeping an eye out for it when its on special offer.
I have tried so many shampoos over the years but this has to be my all time favourite. So much so I don’t think I will be trying any other brands, I have stocked up on a few more of the Aussie shampoo as I saw it on offer in Waitrose at the weekend so I will try some of their other shampoos in the range such as the one for coloured hair. However I wont be going back to my cheaper brands, I am now officially an Aussie girl.
