Now being in my early 30s i was inspired to write this poem due to the relization that now that im older i hang out with my family alot more then i ever thought i would cause when your a young rebelious teenager the last thing you wanna do is hang out with your family...but as you grow you realize there the only ones that are truly genuine amongst the aray of people you encounter in lifes journey...

Roots
the strongest part of life is the roots from which

we grow.

we branch off look for other essentials but always end

up where we know.

at first we reject for the promise of a new and

exciting way.

but the excitement it wears off as the roots sink

deeper into the earths clay.

for the core of what we are lays in heart of something

we have always been.

no matter how you try to separate the roots inside

they pull you back again.
